Faux leather or silicone
A sleeve does two jobs: it keeps your hand off the cold glass and catches the drops that run down the outside of an iced drink, so the desk stays dry. Faux leather is the dressier of the two. It comes in brown on our amber 13 oz glass, with an optional strap so the glass hangs from a wrist, and in cream on the monogram glass, pressed with an initial.
Silicone is the everyday choice. It is ribbed on the 17 oz glass, smooth on the tall glass and the car cup glass, and it comes in the color of the lid. Take any sleeve off before the glass goes to the sink, and wipe faux leather with a damp cloth.
You can buy each of these, part of the BLUEPOLAR glassware line, at the price of the last catalog update.
A glass you keep and refill is the point: the EPA lists reusable glasses among the ways to cut plastic waste, and the CDC suggests carrying water with you in a reusable bottle.
Questions
Questions about the BLUEPOLAR tumbler with sleeve
Does the BLUEPOLAR sleeve keep your desk dry?
It catches the drops that run down the outside of a cold glass, so they stay in the sleeve instead of making a ring on the desk.
Can you put a BLUEPOLAR sleeve in the dishwasher?
No. Slide the sleeve off before washing. Wipe faux leather with a damp cloth. Silicone can be rinsed by hand.
Which BLUEPOLAR glass comes with a carry strap?
The amber 13 oz glass in the brown faux-leather sleeve comes in a version with a leather strap, and the monogram glass has a small leather loop on its sleeve.
